NAACP Special Edition Reader
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has worked over the years to support and promote our country’s civil rights agenda. Since its founding in 1909, the NAACP has worked tirelessly to end racial discrimination while also ensuring the political, social, and economic equality of all people. The Association will continue this mission through its policy initiatives and advocacy programs at the local, state, and national levels.
The NAACP welcomes you to the second issue of the NAACP Special Edition. The biannual Special Edition is a vehicle for information exchange concerning pertinent issues impacting the African American community. As the Association attempts to bring a more focused discussion to the public policy debate, we will use this Special Edition to highlight the thought leadership associated with the country’s community of policy experts and leaders. In our unyielding quest for social justice, the input and perspective of such leaders will be invaluable as we attempt to amplify the scope and reach of our work to the global society.
