Join us on Wednesday, May 27, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT for Books, Ballots, & Bucks: Education Justice 2020, presented by the NAACP.

With the heightened strain that COVID-19 has placed on schools across the country, the civil rights community has voiced concerns about equity in services and resources, especially for students of color.

The May anniversary of the landmark Brown v Board of Education decision provides the backdrop to discuss the state of public education and the opportunities for innovative approaches to K-12 education.

This event will feature a discussion with our moderator Donna Brazile, Former Interim Chair of the DNC, and our panelists:

  • Derrick Johnson, President and CEO, NAACP
  • Randi Weingarten, President, American Federation of Teachers
  • Geoffrey Canada, President, Harlem Children’s Zone
  • Dr. Lezli Baskerville, CEO, NAFEO
