Youth Activist of the Year

Channing Hill is an aspiring lawyer pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communication at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Black artists over the past year have not only showcased our history and uplifted values of progressive change, but have also redefined genres and brought our stories to the screen in so many creative ways.

Scot X. Esdaile - Activist of the Year

NAACP Activist of the Year

Born and raised in New Haven, CT, Scot X. Esdaile developed his passion for public service and civil rights at an early age. As a young activist, he worked on several national campaigns for such prominent change agents as Rev. Jesse Jackson, former Virginia Governor Doug Wilder, and former New Haven Mayor John Daniels.
