Facebook Civil Rights Petition

NAACP has called out Facebook over ongoing concerns regarding the platforms’ repeated shortcomings in safeguarding users, particularly it’s African American users, against unregulated influence from bad actors, both foreign and domestic.

Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, claimed the organization didn’t know about such interference during the 2016 Presidential election, but now a year out from the 2020 Presidential elections, the impact of foreign manipulation and propaganda are all too evident. Facebook’s decision not to remove ads with false statements means they are now knowingly a party to promoting political ads that spread lies and misinformation.

We cannot and will not stand by idly as Facebook threatens election security…again! Stand with us and sign our petition demanding for Facebook to reverse this woefully negligent policy.
