David S. Hargrett

Music and media executive David S. Hargrett, Founder & CEO of Affective Music and 360 Total Solutions, is dedicated to shifting the culture and making a massive impact within the entertainment industry.
A Chicago native, Hargrett started this work as a business student at Florida A&M University. After graduating, he worked in the corporate world doing executing marketing for Volkswagen, Hyundai Motor America, and MeadWestvaco. He later moved to New York City, where he honed his business acumen as a freelance marketer.
In 2008, Hargrett launched the marketing firm 360 Total Solutions, which has since evolved into a production company, producing live events, specials, music videos, and digital content. The company has produced campaigns for companies across numerous industries, including the NAACP, for whom the agency developed the look and feel for what would become their rebrand. Other clients include Hyundai, American Red Cross, and NAACP Image Awards.
Hargrett founded Affective Music in 2019, which houses GRAMMY-nominated artists Mykal Kilgore, Jamison Ross, and Avery*Sunshine. This full-service artist management company and record label quickly made a name for itself after Mykal Kilgore's debut single, "Let Me Go" became GRAMMY-nominated and landed on 5 billboard charts in 2020. Since then, it has continued to make its way to the top, with the mission to define the sound of soul music for this era.
