Cutting Edge Technology
The Technology Lab will feature interactive and innovative brands and services, curated to introduce attendees to new technology and information on these cutting-edge products. From artificial intelligence to Augmented reality, this space will be an immersive and hands-on experience, and even house conversations with top experts and leaders shaping this new and
exciting landscape.
Arts & Entertainment
The Arts & Entertainment Lab will feature the brands and industry leaders that entertain us and inspire us. Imagine an immersive audio and visual experience for attendees to hear, see and learn about a variety of content including music, film, visual art, and more. The A&E Lab will also showcase the NAACP Image Awards, upcoming television shows, film trailers, documentaries, products, and services for those interested in the entertainment industry.
Sports Lab
The Sports Lab will physically transport attendees to experience all things athletics, with experiential events, activities, and conversations. The lab will feature interactive games and competitions that will allow attendees to engage with various brands and products including basketball, baseball, golf, hockey, and more. Local athletes, celebrities, and influencers will be engaged to create unique moments for attendees and offer giveaways.
Health & Wellness
The Health & Wellness Lab will offer health screenings, pop-up fitness classes, lessons, and/or demonstrations featuring various brands, products, and knowledge encouraging us all to create healthier habits for ourselves and our families.
Retail Lab
NAACP attracts high-end consumers seeking one-of-a-kind, high-quality products, and services. Exclusively for professional artisans, designers, and unique craftsmen and businesses, the Marketplace is a source for one-stop shopping. Consumers shop in a thriving marketplace of 50+ vendors promoting handmade artistry at its best, apparel, unique jewelry, original artwork, books, and more.
Block Party
Festivities will kick-off on Friday, July 28, with a block party hosted by the Mayor of Boston featuring live music, multiple DJ's, fun activities for the entire family, interactive events, art installations, delicious food, giveaways, prizes, and more.
NAACP LIVE!
Over the course of three days, we will broadcast live from the Convention on local and regional news and host daily segments from our broadcast studio, highlighting all the powerful moments and happenings throughout The Hub and the entire Convention.
Impact Lab
The Impact Lab is an area for interactive engagement with tools, data, information, and resources that our members, branches, friends, and community leaders/organizers can leverage in their work to tackle today's challenges.
ACT-SO STEM & Visual Arts Gallery
Step into a portal of innovation and creativity and experience carefully executed experiments, inventions, and research, alongside breathtaking paintings, sculptures, and photography in an enveloping and engaging space.
Media Mania
Media Mania is where radio and media outlets will corral celebrities, sponsors and attendees "on the red carpet" to showcase everything happening at this year's Convention including interviews, highlights, announcements, and more.
Hub Bookclub
Meet the Authors! The nation's premier African American literary and scholarly talent from all over the country converges at THE HUB to greet conference attendees. Prominent authors share the spotlight with a diverse range of novelists, scholars, poets, and self-published authors. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet many authors for book signings. An exciting and extensive schedule of authors and illustrators. Hear the latest "Buzz" about the newest titles from your favorite publishers all in one easy-to-find location in The Hub.
Career Summit
Massachusetts has a thriving economy with a multitude of career opportunities. The Career Summit will provide a platform for individuals to learn about various growth industries in Massachusetts. Companies attending the summit are hiring for full and part-time positions and internships.
Hub Happy Hour
Featuring unique cuisine "tastings" from the area's celebrity chefs and students, The Hub daily happy hour is not to be missed! This upbeat daily one-hour reception provides dedicated time to attendees to check out the exhibiting companies, socialize, and network, all while recharging your batteries. A perfect opportunity for attendees to meet and greet each other in this casual setting. Daily chance for attendees to win two tickets to the 55th NAACP Image Awards.
