Tell Congress to Reject Harmful Funding Cuts

This Is an American Issue

The backbone of American society isn't wealth — it's us: the people. Regardless of one's race or ethnicity, programs like Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, SNAP, and Veterans benefits provide a lifeline to millions of Americans, ensuring that those who have sacrificed and contributed so much to our nation receive the support they deserve. As Congress and the administration are considering drastic cuts to vital programs, and we must act swiftly to stop it. Government funding should not hurt the elderly, veterans, or those benefitting from Social Security. Cutting these essential lifelines to fund yet another billionaire tax break is unacceptable. 

Why This Matters

• Seniors deserve security, not uncertainty. Cutting Social Security would force millions of retirees into poverty after a lifetime of contributing to this country's growth.
• Veterans upheld their promise to our nation. It's our responsibility to uphold ours. Gutting their benefits is not only unpatriotic, it's a betrayal of their sacrifice.
• The government should work for the people. Slashing support for those who sustain our nation while protecting corporate interests and the ultra-wealthy would hurt all Americans.

Under no circumstance should Congress approve a funding measure that jeopardizes these programs and others like it. Our nation's strength lies in how we protect those who protect us, support those who have supported our communities, and sustain the foundation that helps millions live with dignity.
