NAACP Issues Statement on Senator Cory Booker's Presidential Campaign Ending

Today, the NAACP released the following statement on Senator Cory Booker ending his 2020 Presidential Race:

"The NAACP applauds Senator Booker for building on the legacy of civil rights leaders, coalition builders, and organizers who have run for the highest office to show what may be possible. His discourse in the presidential race raised the consciousness of the American people and shed light on issues faced by communities of color. We are better due to Senator Booker's courage to run an open and honest presidential campaign.

 

We look forward to his continued work to ensure that our democracy works for all, and all persons have access to quality education and healthcare under the law."
