From the moment Kirk A. Moore sat too close to the television set to watch NYPD Blue, he was hooked. The compelling, conflicted characters and intricate storytelling were addicting. Growing up in Houston, TX, the son of a police officer, Kirk was always attracted to crime and police dramas. It also made him a huge TV/film fan.

His journey as a television writer and producer began while working as assistant. That opportunity would lead to jobs in reality television. Then he stopped everything to work for a psychic company. Hey. Don't judge him. It was a graveyard shift job, so he had time to write.

Moore is a 2014 NBC Writers on the Verge fellow and later began working on the acclaimed drama, American Crime for two seasons, where the series was nominated for Emmy, WGA, NAACP Image, and Black Reel awards. He later joined the writing staff of the wildly popular and controversial teen drama, 13 Reasons Why, where he worked for two seasons. Soon he became a writer/producer on Marvel's Runaway, Hulu's Looking for Alaska and Amazon's Jack Ryan. He's currently a Supervising Producer on ABC's legal drama For Life

Oh…Kirk also enjoys dogs, Southern cuisine (and posting pics and recipes on IG…it's serious!), basketball, Judge Judy and Real Housewives — Atlanta, Potomac, Beverly Hills only.
