Ray Curry, MBA serves as Executive Procurement Officer of the NAACP. With more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit labor unions, operations, and financial management, Ray directs the Association's procurement and contract practices, and he advises the NAACP National Board of Directors.  

Most recently, Ray was president of the United Auto Workers (UAW) International Union. Ray first joined UAW in 1992 when worked as a truck assembler after serving in the U.S. Army for three years on active duty and five years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He held several UAW leadership positions between 1992 and 2023. 

A longtime grassroots activist, Ray is a Diamond Life member of the NAACP and served on the NAACP National Board of Directors from 2019 to 2024. 

Ray is a North Carolina native and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama.
