Scott Sudduth
Assistant Director
Scott Sudduth is a sixth generation native of Pasadena, California. Having grown
up the child of art-appreciating parents, he has been active in photography, visual
and the performing arts since the age of 5. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in
English from Morehouse College in 1993, Scott returned to Los Angeles to work
in the Motion Picture & Television industry.
Sudduth started his career as an intern on Class Act with Kid & Play and performing stunt work on the film South Central. Shortly after, he worked as a lighting technician and grip on many music videos and feature films. He then segued into work as a production assistant and production coordinator on numerous productions across the country. Independently, Scott has produced several short films and co-produced the feature She's Got a Plan.
Sudduth has been a member of the Directors Guild of America in good standing since
2008, and an active member of the DGA's African American Steering Committee.
He also has had the pleasure of serving for 10 years as Treasurer of the Sudduth
Holiday Foundation, an organization dedicated to the mentoring of youth in the
Southern California area. He also serves as the Advisory Committee Chair of
"The DEI Collective" at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, a multidisciplinary program that provides culturally responsive support, resources, and professional development for the next generation of historically underserved and underrepresented storytellers.
