The NAACP is proud to launch The Advancement List, a national recognition honoring outstanding professionals across multiple industries who are breaking barriers, driving innovation, and setting a powerful example for the Black community through their work.
This recognition celebrates individuals whose leadership, creativity, and impact are shaping culture, transforming markets, uplifting communities, and building a more equitable future.
We invite you to nominate a visionary leader, changemaker, innovator, or trailblazer whose work deserves national recognition. Self-nominations are also welcome.
Let's honor those who are moving us forward.
The Advancement List is more than recognition — it's a declaration that Black excellence is not emerging, it is leading and shaping every corner of our society. It honors the trailblazers who are breaking barriers while building lasting pathways for others to follow across industries and generations.

Prepare to Apply
Submissions may be made by:
- Individuals nominating themselves.
- Human Resources representatives or organizational designees nominating on behalf of employees.
- Authorized third parties submitting on behalf of individuals or organizations.
You will be asked to complete five short responses centered on impact, innovation, community, economic significance, future vision, and leadership. Each response should be 200 words or less. All submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee. By submitting a nomination, you help shine a national spotlight on the people advancing our community and shaping what's next.
