NAACP Responds to Recent NAACP Corpus Christi Election and Partnership Affiliation

The NAACP National Office remains committed to transparency and the dissemination of factual information regarding all affiliations and organizational election procedures and processes.

On March 13th, 2021, the NAACP Corpus Christi Election was held (8am-8pm CST). The NAACP National Office directly oversaw the local election, verifying membership, confirming eligibility, and adding and updating contact information to ensure that eligible members received ballots for participation. President Jeremy Coleman was elected President of the NAACP Corpus Christi branch following the conclusion of the election. The NAACP National Office commends President Coleman on his recent election and looks forward to supporting the NAACP Corpus Christi branch in addressing the community's needs and concerns. 

Additionally, the NAACP National Office and the NAACP Corpus Christi branch have no association with the Their Day Foundation. There is no partnership agreement in place, and any statements to the contrary are false and without the NAACP's approval and endorsement.
