NAACP to host ACT-SO & Youth & College Joint Event at 113th National Convention
Atlantic City, New Jersey - The NAACP will host an ACT-SO & Youth & College joint event at its 113th National Convention on Saturday, July 16 at 7:30 pm ET. Called "Gen Z: Culture Talk," the event will create a space to uplift and address the mental health crisis of Black youth.
Through the combined forces of youth activists and organizers from both NAACP's Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) program and Youth & College Division, the event will synthesize mindfulness meditation, improv and movement, and conversations around mental health focused on Black youth.
