NAACP President Derrick Johnson Welcomes Roger Jackson, Jr. as the Chief of Field, Membership, and Units

Roger Jackson - NAACP

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to changemaker Roger Jackson Jr., the newest member of the NAACP senior leadership team.

Roger joins the Association as Chief of Field, Membership, and Units. He will lead our vibrant network of grassroots activists as they drive change in communities nationwide. Roger and his team will oversee Membership Growth, Unit Compliance and Sustainability, the Call Center; Campaigns / Civic Engagement, and the Youth and College Division.

Today, a growing number of diverse activists are fighting for justice across the country. Roger will work with community leaders and organizers committed to the advancement of civil and human rights and propel broader growth within ourBranches and Units.

We are fortunate to have a champion of equity join our ranks. A son of Philadelphia, Roger has already impacted the lives of individuals and organizations on the local, state, and national levels as a teacher; coach; high school principal; higher education administrator; congressional chief of staff; and nonprofit executive.

As we witness the power of our collective voice, it is evident that our members have the capacity to effect change around the world. The need for action remains more urgent than ever, and together, we can demand and establish policies that promote equity, advancement, and justice.

Let's welcome Roger to the NAACP as we mobilize our members to build back Black political power.

In solidarity,

Derrick Johnson
