NAACP urges U.S. Senate to vote in favor of marriage equality

Today, Congress has the ability to be on the right side of history. As the Senate reviews what the House has already passed on marriage equality, they will have the responsibility to confirm rights that have been at the forefront. Voting marriage equality into federal law not only protects civil rights but also the very human rights that are currently at jeopardy. The NAACP urges the Senate to be responsible in their decision making by affirming the right to marriage equality, and marking this day in history as a milestone for our nation.
