Juneteenth

In 1865, the last slaves were freed. In 2023 and beyond, we are Black and thriving.

Black & Thriving

June 19, 1865, two years after President Abraham Lincoln presented the Emancipation Proclamation, slaves in Texas finally received word: They were free.

The fight for true freedom ever since has been continuous and full of barriers. Freedom is a thread, and a fight, woven through this nation's history and current political climate. In spite of attempts to limit our access to the ballot box, the economy, and basic civil rights - we thrive

This Juneteenth, take action to celebrate and ensure true freedom for all.

Black and thriving means standing boldly in your identity and authenticity and deciding no matter the obstacles, hurdles, or pitfalls, I will win. Because – who else but me?
