HELP BLACK AMERICA THRIVE
Now is the time to give to Black America.
As the hub for grassroots activism and civil rights in America, the NAACP is leading the charge to safeguard the future of our communities by ensuring adequate investments are made.
In 2024, our work to advance environmental and climate justice, education innovation, and an inclusive economy won't be possible without donations from you.
Give the gift of advocacy today.
Now is the time to further your commitment to the NAACP. Through our advocacy and philanthropy, our activists are building a future where the Black community will thrive.- Derrick Johnson, President and CEO, NAACP
This holiday season, wear your advocacy with pride! NAACP apparel is marked down just in time for you to find the perfect gift for you and your loved ones.
This past year, your dollars helped provide clean water to our communities in Jackson, MS, created financial security for students through scholarship giving, and invested in the economic growth of Black businesses within our communities.
To respond to skyrocketing housing instability, we launched a pilot housing program in South Carolina, which currently faces the highest levels of potential evictions in the nation. Based out of Columbia, S.C., the program pairs volunteer housing navigators - trained NAACP members, faith leaders, social workers, and law students - with tenants facing eviction. Navigators work with tenants to access critical legal and nonlegal services, like rental assistance, and help tenants understand their legal rights and prevent eviction.
The program also links tenants who are behind on rent with a new pro bono eviction diversion clinic, staffed by local lawyers to represent those tenants in critical negotiations with their landlords. So far, more than 60 navigators and 40 pro bono lawyers have volunteered their time and expertise.
With your generosity, we're ready to develop similar programs elsewhere in the country.
