Strategy, Storytelling, and Sustained Pressure
Winning for Change
State legislatures are where many of the most immediate decisions impacting Black communities are being made — from education and voting rights to economic justice, public safety, and health equity. Winning change at the state level requires more than a single advocacy day; it requires strategy, strong storytelling, and sustained pressure.

Save Your Seat
This State Legislative Advocacy Month (SLAM) training will equip advocates with the tools to advance policy throughout March by sharpening their advocacy strategy, strengthening narrative power, and building momentum that lasts beyond one meeting or moment.
Advocates will learn how to identify pressure points in the legislative process, engage decision-makers effectively, and use storytelling to connect policy demands to real community impact.
