Keep It Local Business Fund

The Keep It Local Business Fund grant program, powered by the Nextdoor Kind Foundation, will award $5,000 microgrants to entrepreneurs of color, enabling them to help strengthen and support communities at a local level.

In addition to funding, recipients will receive public recognition of contributions to their community, participation in events with other recipients to share their entrepreneurship journey, ad credits to promote their business on the Nextdoor Platform, and access to trainings on how to thrive as a small business, including Nextdoor's Recession Playbook.

The Nextdoor Kind Foundation believes when many are struggling with daily expenses, that we all have a responsibility as good neighbors to raise our hands to help.

The hope is that these microgrants light a spark within recipients to drive change in their community and inspire similar efforts in communities around the world — ultimately creating a movement of kindness rising.

To apply, your business must be majority (51+%) owned and/or operated by a person(s) of color. Applications are open now and will close on December 16, 2022 at 6 PM ET.

Note: Before you submit your application, you will need a video link (one to two minutes long) prepared, describing your business, personal entrepreneurship journey, and how this grant will transform your business.
