No Healthcare, No Vote
Lawmakers Must Protect Our Healthcare
Lawmakers disagree on whether to extend the enhanced ACA premium tax credits, which help millions of Americans afford health insurance. Without the tax credits, the nearly 24 million people who rely on insurance purchased through the ACA would be impacted in January.
The threat to affordable health coverage is immediate and severe. The United States is only as healthy as its people. Congress must vote to protect access to affordable care.
Why This Matters:
- Healthy people, healthy country. When millions of Americans can't afford health insurance, they'll have less support when sick, hurting us all.
- Affordable healthcare is our right. The Affordable Care Act is, in part, paid for by tax dollars from American Citizens. It's our money and should go towards benefiting our lives. This isn't a Black issue or a white issue. This is an American issue, and real American lives are at stake.
Congress must preserve affordable healthcare access. The strength of our country lies in our unity. We cannot allow ourselves to be divided by health.
