NAACP Statement on the Passing of NC President Rev. Spearman

Today, NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson issued this statement following the passing of former NAACP North Carolina State Conference President Rev. T. Anthony Spearman:

On behalf of the organization and our members, I would like to offer our deepest condolences to former State President Spearman's family, friends, and loved ones. He was a long-time NAACP member, and served as President of the North Carolina State Conference from 2017 to 2021. May he Rest In Peace.
