Fighting the War on Disinformation

Unpacking Misinformation and Disinformation

There is a long history of tactics used to disenfranchise voters. We have experienced how flyers, billboards, and other offline tactics are used to tell voters incorrect information that could prevent them from participating in an election. The interference in our elections has a significant impact. We've seen the ongoing attempts to spread inaccurate data within the African American community on several fronts.

From falsified information on the election date to misinformation on the steps needed to verify your registration, there has been no stone unturned in attempts to ensure that the vote of the African American community is discredited or that we don't take our full authority at this moment by voting.
