Honoring a legend

Bishop William H. Graves Sr., a trailblazer for justice and equality, was a member of the NAACP National Board of Directors for 27 years. One of the nation's most consequential religious and civic leaders, he was actively involved in the social and political issues facing disadvantaged communities. With his quiet, strong demeanor, Bishop Graves was a spiritual giant who knew hardships and the blessings of second chances.

Join us in honoring this longtime activist and advisor to The Crisis magazine by becoming a member today. Select the Bishop Graves campaign during the signup process above to continue his legacy of fighting for civil rights and social justice.

The Work of the NAACP is critical to improving our communities. I joined because, just as much as our community needs the NAACP, the association needs each of us to step up and share our time and talents to further the progress of civil rights and social justice.
