Where Storytelling Lives and Thrives
At the 117th NAACP Convention, the NAACP+ Lounge will be an immersive gathering space where culture, storytelling, and community meet. Hosted by the NAACP Hollywood Bureau, the lounge will offer attendees a place to experience cinematic storytelling that highlights Black voices, history, and creativity.
Throughout the convention, guests can view cinematic short films, curated programs, podcasts and exclusive content from the NAACP+ platform in a relaxed screening environment. The lounge will host talkbacks, creator conversations, and informal discussions, giving attendees the opportunity to engage with filmmakers, and talent behind the work.
Designed as both a screening space and conversation hub, the NAACP+ Lounge invites convention attendees to discover new stories, reflect on powerful narratives, and connect with others around the future of Black storytelling.

Lounge With Us
The NAACP+ Lounge will operate during limited hours. On Wednesday, July 22, immediately following the closing plenary session, the NAACP+ Lounge will screen the short films that premiered earlier that morning. Members will have the opportunity to watch the films and cast their votes to determine the winning filmmakers.
